New Detroit Tigers recruit Austin Meadows’s recent bout with vertigo, caused by an inner ear infection has put the dizzying diagnosis in the vernacular again. But some people experiencing vertigo may actually have a Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, more commonly referred to as TMD or TMJ, according to Jeff Haddad, DDS, owner of Rochester Advanced Dentistry in Rochester, Michigan.
